DESCRIPTION
The Rossignol Soul 7 HD Skis have a reputation for being ridiculously easy to ski in powder, and we won't argue with it.
The generous and smoothly graduated tip and tail rocker mean the "Soul" planes up in anything over a few inches with ease, and keeps the forgiving nature of the ski intact on firmer surfaces as well. Light enough to be used as a touring ski with the right binding setup (lots of skiers do this), the Soul 7 HD remains largely unchanged after years in the Rossi lineup for the simple reason that it makes challenging snow a breeze and makes many a heinous day into a fun one.
FEATURES
Rocker Type:
Freeride Rocker 50% Camber / 50% Progressive Tip & Tail Rocker – Designed for the deepest powder days, Rossignol's progressive Freeride rocker profile features longer, lower tip rocker, a tapered tail profile and traditional camber underfoot, delivering effortless flotation, instant speed control and the power, energy, and grip to get you back to the lift.
Sidecut:
Centered Sidecut – A short sidecut directly underfoot combined with a uniquely tapered tip and tail. The deep radius underfoot provides edge grip and power where you need it while the short length of the sidecut allows easy steering and playfulness.
Core:
Paulownia Core with Carbon Alloy Matrix
Laminates:
Carbon Alloy Matrix – A new era of high-efficiency materials. Combining an extremely lightweight design with high mechanical properties, the Carbon Alloy Matrix raises the ski’s performance across the board, whether in terms of grip and versatility, precision and permissiveness, or stability and maneuverability. The Carbon Alloy Matrix is the result of a clever blend of Carbon fiber and Basalt fiber. Carbon provides boost, lightness and power transmission, while Basalt contributes its shock-absorbing and stabilizing properties.
Air Tip 2.0:
Fully-integrated 3D construction is now lighter and stronger for more balanced performance from tip to tail. The visible internal reinforcement and fully-integrated design eliminates deflection and instability, delivering more concentrated power and energy throughout the ski. Reduced weight at the extremities keeps tips naturally afloat while ensuring ultra-light swing weight, effortless maneuverability, and enhanced ski control.
Sidewalls:
Minicap Sidewall
Base:
Sintered HD
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
